Williamson County Annual Events:

Jan. – Feb.:
Southern Illinois Boat and Fishing Show-   A weekend long event held at the Williamson County Pavilion in Marion and is sponsored by the Youth Outdoor Education Foundation and the Williamson County Tourism Bureau.  The show features boats, trailers, trucks, ATV’s, fishing tackle, live entertainment, and more. Admission and Parking is FREE, great fun for all ages.

May 27th -31st 2010
HerrinFesta Italiana: Where the food fun and entertainment are primo! Come celebrate Italian Heritage every Memorial Weekend, from Thursday to Memorial Day. HerrinFesta Italiana is fun for the entire family; enjoy delicious Italian food, the wine stomping competition, bocce ball tournaments, parade, carnival rides and games, and great entertainment in the Piazza. May 23rd- October 3rd 2009:
Marion Main Street Cruise Night- Cruise Marion Style downtown every 4th Saturday Night from 4p-8p. This is a family friendly, alcohol-free event with a car and bike show, poker run, food, refreshments, local business exhibits, and dj show. For more information (618)993-1470. September 26th and 27th 2009:
John A. Logan College Presents Hunting and Fishing Days- held on the beautiful campus of John A. Logan College.  This event was created to celebrate our heritage of hunting and fishing in Illinois. It is an educational, family event, dedicated to teaching ethics, safety, and conservation in order to enhance the outdoor experience. ADMISSION AND PARKING ARE ALWAYS FREE!

October 30th  2009:
Carterville Pumpkin Path- Downtown Carterville is Spooktacular. Downtown businesses hand out free candy to children and decorate their storefronts as haunted houses.  Grab the kids and take part in the Halloween parade and costume contests.

October  1- 31st 2009:
Bandy's Pumpkin Patch Lots of fall fun located between Johnston City and Herrin. Corn maze, kids play barn, wagon rides, and pumpkins! Open October 1 - 31. http://www.bandyspumpkinpatch.com/

November:
John A. Logan College Autumn Fest  Nov.14th and 15th– This event is held at John A. Logan College during a weekend in November.  It features over 100 original arts and crafts, great food and music, children’s activities, free admission, and free parking. For more information call 1-800-851-4720.
