The Frenchman's Widow | 12:00 pm
Houston and surrounding areas in Texas have suffered the wrath of the wettest tropical cyclone in US history. The Frenchman's Widow is compelled to help, and it turns out that a lot of local artists feel the same. So, they are opening on the one day a week that they are normally closed, Sunday September 10th, to host a fundraiser for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The employees have volunteered their time to work this event. There are 11 bands (currently) scheduled to play in the garden, but word is spreading, and more artists are reaching out wanting to help. It is a $10 donation to enter the garden. Thanks to the local artists who will be playing, 100% of your $10 will go to the relief fund, and a portion of their sales will be donated to the fund as well. Check Facebook for a final line-up of bands; some of the artists scheduled include: Mike McClusky, Deanna Freeman, Chris McGee, Bill Harper, the Magnatones, Eli Tellor, Kali Lynn, Cat Daddy ‘O, Tim Crosby, Matt Basler and Dave Clark.
